Ready for departure

So......its 11:56 pm on Sunday night. We leave for Samoa in under 48 hours and I just had this thought that if I started a blog for our family then everyone read up on our adventures and in the end I would have documented our 2 years abroad. This could be GREAT!
Here is our status: On New Years Eve we took the last load of stuff out of our sweet home, grabbed our cat Rocket, locked the doors and headed out into the coldest night of the year (negative 26 degrees in Chester which is two towns over). After tearfully relocating our sweet feline with some good friends, we stopped to say goodbye to some of our favorite folks and then headed north to Trevor's parent's house....where we are currently living out of boxes until we fly away.
The kids are in cousin heaven here. They are having sleepovers and eating total junk and having a wonderful time. Tomorrow is our last full day to get things done. Banking, vaccinating and rounding up dog deterrent spray (so we can try jogging despite the packs of wild dogs we hear rumors about) are just a few of the lovely items on the list.
We may not have internet access until February, but I will try to post some kind of update before then. Happy New Years everyone.
